Carl Roger's potato

So this morning I walk up to the scanning service desk to drop off some exam sheets and I am confronted with a strange organic something sitting on a plate. At first I thought it might be some mandrake root. Then the person behind the desk told me it was a potato that had gotten lost under her sink.

To get the reference to Carl Rogers, sign up for my personality course next semester. (Or Google Carl Rogers, potato.)

Good call. I get the Carl Roger's potato reference.

But, look at what I discovered. The American Journal of Potato Research available through The Potato Association of America.

I think that is hilarious. Evidently, there is a journal for just about everything and anything.

I figured that you would be the only LJ friend to get the Rogers reference right away.

American Journal of Potato Research? Good Lord.

Life finds a way in unlikely circumstances
I guess Rogers analogy is similar to Jurassic Park's "Life finds a way" theme.

Last year some researchers "discovered a new group of organisms living in the pH equivalent of battery acid at a Californian mine". Go figure.
