Deja vu all over again

I regularly read a variety of discussions groups on LJ, Yahoo, and so forth. Because all of these groups have at least one thing in common (my interest in them), I often see the same topic popping up in more than one group. Sometimes when a topic appears for the first time in one group, but has already been discussed thoroughly in another group, lazy John will post a reply to the effect of, "We already discussed the crap out of that at http://... ."

Well, today I read a post from Jeff Ricker on the PESTS (Psychologists Encouraging Students to Think Skeptically) mailing list point to an article called: "The Church of the Non-Believers," a Wired article appearing at: http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/14.11/atheism_pr.html . I said to myself, "Oh, yeah, that old thing. We already discussed that somewhere and concluded that Gary Wolf is being a wimp. I'll reply to Jeff's post with a link to that discussion.

Problem was, I could not for the life of me find that discussion. I scanned back over a hundred entries in atheism, antitheism, and richarddawkins to no avail. I used Google with keywords from the article and livejournal.com as the site, and still could not find the discussion I thought I remembered engaging in. I looked several other places. Nothing.

I must be having a false memory. Weird, because it seems so real.
