Overview of 911 Conspiracy Theories

I was wondering when the doubts about what really happened on 911, as documented in the Loose Change video (see previous posts by asuraweapon and myself), would hit a major print news outlet. It happened Monday:

Wow, Loose Change and that article really give a lot to think about. I had no idea that there were so many unanswered questions. Although, while I was watching the original news reports as they covered the planes crashing into the Twin Towers and the towers falling to the ground, I remember thinking that there had to be more happening because planes crashing into the towers wouldn't make them fall like that. I don't know anything about explosives or demolition or how the building were constructed, but it seemed so unlikely that the planes caused the buildings to collapse.

While I watched Loose Change, I was particularly troubled wondering what happened to the passengers on the plane that supposedly crashed in Pennsylvania. When the possibility of it landing in Ohio was brought up, I thought maybe they had sent the missing passengers some other place to live, like in a witness protection program. But, when I read the article and the point was brought up that they were probably gassed, well it made me sick.

The whole thing troubles me. All of the things that happened seem to be so much more that coincidences. Like someone said, it would take military precision to carry out a plan like that. It is such a shame that so many innocent lives were lost. And, we will probably always be left wondering because the truth will probably never be known.

conspiracy stories...
As you know, I enjoy thinking about various conspiracy theories. I have been a, "Fan" of these theories long before 9/11. Reading the lengthy story that you linked has really caused me to think about what *might* have happened. I have a nice library of accounts of the events of 9/11. I have bought all of these accounts from sellers on Ebay. I have watched (and own) tapes from CNN, FOX news, NBC and CBS from the morning of 9/11 I also have some CDs from The Howard Stern show which was running live during this tragedy.
While watching and listeneing to these various accounts (including the 9/11 filmmaker commemeorative tape) I have often wondered what really happened.
It is fascinating and fun to let my imagination run when thinking about what *might* have happened on 9/11.
I guess that I will never really know what actually happened on that summer day. Given my views on President Bush combined with Michael Moore's movie, I think that almost anything is possible.
I would like to think that the events were nothing more than the unfortunate yet accepted explanation that seems to have been accepted by most Americans, however...
