Love Is Blue / Nadia's Theme

Someone recently pulled out the sheet music for Love Is Blue. Maybe I did it; I don't remember. After walking by the piano numerous times the past week, I could no longer resist the urge to sit down and play this piece, which I used for one of my piano recitals in the 1960s. The first funny thing I noticed was how quickly the number came back to me after over 30 years of not playing it. The second funny thing I noticed was how the chord structure was reminiscent of Nadia's Theme (theme from the Young and the Restless), so I quickly found myself playing that song by ear. I wondered if the songs could be played simultaneously, or at least in a medley.

I can't say I ever had the pleasure of playing Nadia's theme for a recital. ;-)

I can, however, say that I had the pleasure of watching the very first episode of The Young and the Restless.
