Pricey stuffed cabbage rolls

So this week when I'm doing my grocery shopping I notice in the kosher frozen food section a fairly large box of frozen cabbage rolls. I grew up with my mother's Polish cooking, so I have always been a big fan of gołąbki. I'm thinking that these frozen gołąbki might not be too bad, so I check for a price and can't find one anywhere. Not on the box, not on the display shelf. I figure a box this size might run 8 or 9 dollars, and I'm willing to pay that because I love gołąbki.

At checkout I keep my eye on the register when the box of cabbage rolls is scanned. I nearly choked: $15.64. What the heck? I ask the cashier to remove the box from my order. They could not have been that good.

I guess I'll have to make my own gołąbki.
