The Beatles forever

Last night Carolyn and I went to see the cast of Beatlemania perform in Central Parklet. For free. What a deal! I had seen the group perform about 15 years ago in St Marys, back when I lived in DuBois. It is remarkable how much these guys physically resemble the Beatles, have all their verbal and nonverbal mannerisms down, and can play with a sound that is amazingly close to the Beatles. The current cast was not quite as tight as what I remember from the last time I saw them, but they were still very good and just so much fun. It was a beautiful evening for an outdoor concert. Absolutely delicious--I could not have asked for a better time. If you like the Beatles and have a chance to catch this tribute group, do it. Just do it. http://www.moptops.com .

This entire week has seemed rather retro. It began when we saw Anchorman last weekend. So seventies. Then there was the Beatlemania concert. After we got home we watched the Starsky and Hutch movie. It has been a happy week.

I wonder if 40 years from now this decade will look as goofy to people as the seventies do to me now.
